About Us

Midwife - Alex Lewandowski

Hi, I’m Alex.

I’m a mom of three, and being their mom is my whole world. My life is fully devoted to them, and I couldn’t ask for a better title than “mom.” We homeschool, we’re together a lot, and this season of life is something I hold really close.

My journey into this work started with the birth of my second baby. She came fast, really fast. In an hour and twenty minutes, I was holding her on my bathroom floor, just sitting there in complete awe of what had just happened. And I knew, right then, my life was about to change. I always say that when she was born, so was I.

That moment opened my eyes to how strong and capable women truly are, and I couldn’t ignore the pull after that. I’ve spent the last five years walking this path; first as a doula, then as a midwife’s assistant, then as a student midwife, and now stepping fully into this role.

I love serving women in their most sacred space. It is truly the biggest honor, and I fully believe the Lord has called me to this work. Birth, to me, is sacred. It’s healing, beautiful, and messy, but it’s real and powerful in a way that’s hard to put into words.

My hope is that when you work with me, you feel safe, seen, heard, and calm—and that you can truly trust the process and your body.
It’s an honor to be invited into this space with you.

Birth Assistant - Teresa Mandraes

First and foremost, I am a wife and a mama. My days are filled with homeschooling, motherhood, and building a home centered on faith, love, and intentional living. Those roles are the foundation of who I am — and they deeply shape how I serve families.

Before stepping into birth work, I spent about 10 years in the medical field, including over 5 years as a respiratory therapist. I cared for patients ranging from adult critical care to children’s hospital settings. I also had the privilege of teaching in various medical programs, equipping future healthcare professionals with both knowledge and confidence. Those years gave me a strong clinical foundation, calmness in high-intensity situations, and a deep respect for the body’s design.

My journey into home birth began during one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life — postpartum with my second baby. It was there that I met my best friend, Alexandria. In the middle of sleepless nights and newborn snuggles, a friendship was born. As she stepped into midwifery and began pursuing home birth, I was invited into a new perspective — one that blended my medical background with the beauty of natural medicine, holistic care, and physiological birth.

Over time, my view of birth expanded. I began to see not just the clinical side, but the sacredness. The strength. The design. The family unit. The power of a peaceful, supported space.

I have always had a servant’s heart and a desire to be a light in people’s most vulnerable moments. Birth is exactly that — powerful, intimate, life-changing. It is an honor to support families in this space.

Now, what began as friendship and shared postpartum days has grown into a dream — building a practice together with the goal of catching babies and bringing joy into homes in our community. As women of faith, mothers, and partners in this work, we are committed to creating peaceful, empowered birth spaces where families feel safe, seen, and supported.

It is truly a privilege to walk alongside families as they welcome new life.
